Wiffleball Tournament

How to Play:

Game
- 3 clan members per team—substitutions can occur at any time other than during an at-bat.

- Each game consists of 3 innings, 2 outs per half-inning.

-
In case of a tie after 3 full innings, a single extra inning is played. If the score is still tied after 3 full innings, the next strikeout or hit wins the game.

At-Bat
- Any pitch that goes through the opening (“strike zone”) in the backstop is a “strike.”

- Any pitch that “rings the bell” is an automatic out, regardless of the count.

-Any pitch that does not go through the strike zone and is not hit is a “ball.”

-Any ball not hit beyond the first white line is a foul tip.

-Foul tips count only as the first two strikes. A foul tip caught behind the batters box is not an out.

-3 strikes is an OUT, 4 balls is a base on ball.

-Any fly ball caught in foul or fair territory is an OUT.

-Any ground ball fielded in fair territory while the ball is in motion is an OUT.

Scoring
-Any fly ball that lands or ground ball that stops rolling between the first white line and the second white line is a single.

-Any fly ball that lands or ground ball that stops rolling beyond the 2nd white line is a double.

-A ball that hits the fence in the air before being touched by an outfielder is a triple.

-A ball hit over the fence is a home run.

-Batters get 1 imaginary base on a single, 2 on a double, and 3 on a triple.
All runs must be forced in – this means that an imaginary runner will only advance the number of bases that the runner behind them advances.
