Grunt is a game that epitomizes the spirit of Lawn Olympics. Peter Glidden, along with his stepsons Brendon and Ryan Martell, built the Grunt boards one afternoon in their basement. The game, although popular in Central and Northern Maine, had yet to make a name for itself this far south - until LO'01, that is. Pete and his family were unable to make it to this year's festivities, unfortunately, so they weren't here to see the number of people standing on one board, trying to toss the washers into the holes on the other board, too drunk to aim properly and finally twisting an ankle stumbling back to the keg to let the next person give it a whirl. Peter would have been so proud! Thanks, Pete!
