LAWN OLYMPICS 2006 - Growing Lush Take a nice layer of soil, add some water (2003, 2004), make sure it gets plenty of sun (97 degrees last LO - hottest day of 2005) don't forget to sprinkle a little manure on top and what do you get... A Lush Lawn Olympics! This year, the Lawn Olympics will become Thick and Green. The new venue of Broadturn proved it could handle the magnitude of the event. A new location gave LO a new look and feel, but with all the familiar commrodary. Last years heat tested the Olympians, as something always does, but we came through satisfied and tan. The LO Committee would like to announce this year's date for Lawn Olympics: June 24, 2006 will be the day where competition will flourish and champions will grow. The gods are hard at work weeding out the details and organizing the day. As always we have some surprises planted. Also, a pleasant trend that has been growing from past years, many Lawn Olympians have stepped up to offer their own little stake in the day. We always look forward to the creativity and spirit of the group. June 24 comes with anticipation. It is a time we can gather the mighty to battle on the Lush Hills of Broadturn. This years Lawn Olympics could be our liveliest yet. |
